Many people have some knowledge of the uprising by miners at Eureka Stockade at Ballarat in 1854. Fewer know that the uprising was led by an Irishman, Peter Lalo

Our play examines what happened at the Eureka diggings. What were the miners grievances? Who were the main characters involved? Why did Peter Lalor lead the rebellion? And is the Eureka Stockade a significant event in Australian history.
