Would you like to learn some Irish Gaelic in 2019?  Come along to the information Night at 6.30pm on Tuesday, 5 February in the Irish Club. Classes will start at 6.30pm on the following Tuesday, 12 February, and will run on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings during school terms.

The Irish Club is proud to have hosted Irish classes for many years. Tuition is free and open to both beginners and more experienced students.  Volunteer Irish speakers from the Canberra Irish Language Association (CILA) teach the classes using modern text books, CD's and DVDs; these are available to students at discounted prices.  Students must be members of, or join, the Irish Club and CILA (nominal charges apply).   Over the years, many students have also attended residential weekend schools in Sydney and Melbourne, and a number have been to intensive courses in Ireland.

( There is a growing interest in Irish, so new volunteer teachers / assistants are always welcome. You do not need to be a trained teacher of Irish.  Just enjoy sharing the language with very keen students! )
